County Executive Officer requests discussion and possible action on AB 1919 (Wood), a bill that would make it a misdemeanor to increase the monthly rent by more than 10% than the rental price within 30 days prior to a declared emergency, extend the prohibition on monthly rent increases for any period the disaster declaration is extended, and make it a misdemeanor to evict a housing tenant after the proclamation of a state of emergency for the purpose of renting the housing out in violation of the proposed provisions.

County Executive Officer requests discussion and possible action on AB 1875 (Wood), a bill that would require insurance companies to offer a policy option that covers at least 50% extended replacement cost coverage above the replacement cost limits for the primary dwelling.

County Executive Officer requests discussion and possible action on AB 1799 (Levine), a bill that would require an insurer to provide one complete, certified copy of an insurance policy that includes all policy documents for free within 30 days after a covered loss.

County Executive Officer requests discussion and possible action on AB 1800 (Levine), a bill that would clarify that after a total loss, an insurer would be responsible for any additional extended replacement cost covered by a plan regardless of whether a policy holder decides to rebuild in the same location, rebuild in a new location, or purchase a new home.

County Executive Officer requests discussion and possible action on AB 1797 (Levine), a bill that would require all insurance companies that offer residential property coverage to provide an estimated replacement value on all new policies and upon renewal of existing policies.

County Executive Officer seeks discussion and possible action on SB 833 (McGuire), a bill that would amend the California Emergency Act to provide for a red alert system designed to issue and coordinate alerts following an evacuation order.
